This is an ADDITIONAL skid plate you can purchase if you have modified exhaust at your crossover pipe.This is not needed on all applications. A breakdown of suspension systems is not available due to variances in models. This shim plate can be added at anytime after Oil Pan/Transmission Skid Plate install.
If you've added a custom exhaust system to your Jeep Wrangler JK then you may have changed your crossover pipe clearance. Our Oil Pan/Transmission skid plate is designed for factory exhaust systems and any change in tolerance may cause unwanted vibration or noise. Prevent that by adding our shim plate! Some aftermarket suspension systems require an exhaust spacer be installed which invariably moves your exhaust crossover pipe down. Don't wheel unprotected simply because your exhaust has been modified - keep your Rock Hard 4x4 Oil Pan/Transmission skid plate installed and wheel with confidence!

Is hardware included?
No, the original hardware included with your Oil Pan/Transmission skid plate is reused and is long enough. No additional hardware required.
Do I have to remove or replace my factory cross member with an aftermarket one to install this skid plate?
I've read I have to remove my crossmember to install this skid plate. Is that true?
No, it's a common question. On newer Jeep Wrangler JK's there's a factory "skid" that takes up the same real estate as our skid plate. That must be removed to install our skid plate.
Is any welding required?
No. Our mounting method allows for a DIY no-weld, truly bolt-in install.
What finish is available?
Rock Hard 4x4 skid plates ship powder coated black with a semi-smooth, semi-gloss finish.
Where is this shim made?
This product, like all RH4x4 parts, was designed, developed, tested, manufactured, and if applicable, powder coated, and shipped in the USA. And we don't mean the 75% legal standard to be able to say Made in USA. We are 100% Made in the United States of America!
