Functional Design
Each mounting rail is 2" x 3" .188 wall (3/16") thick steel making them indestructible rock crushers. Factory Rubicon sliders are built from .120 wall (1/8") thick steel. For those who were better writers than adders in school, our sliders are 56% thicker.

Each slider's end cap is welded shut to prevent debris, water, and dirt from getting inside. Factory sliders have plastic pressed in end caps.

Our welded brackets to the body mount locations are 3/8" thick steel. They don't even exist on the factory Rubicon Rails so we'll call that a 100% thickness upgrade.

We then set them in a jig and weld on 1 3/4" .120 tubing giving you a step you don't know how you lived without. The tube also helps keep your Jeep off the rocks by giving you a steel "cushion" that takes all the abuse the trail can throw at them.

Ease of Installation
The secret behind our system's ease of install is precise fitment. We mount not just to your body's pinch seam like "import" versions of tubular rails, we also mount to your body bolts with tabs over 3 times the factory width plus through the floor of your JL in existing holes. This means more mounting points for a stronger, rattle free, and exact fitting rock rail. Included in every hardware pack are shims that also allow for our heavy duty hardware to perfectly align your sliders underneath your Jeep for a look that can't be beat by "one size misfits all" imports.

FAQ:
Is any welding required?
No. Our Rocker Guards are a bolt-on install.

Commonly asked dimensions:
Door outwards to top of rail: 3" (step out distance)
Distance from bottom of door cutout to top of rail: 5.5" (step down distance)
Distance from rectangular rail to top of tube: 3.5" (distance tube sticks up from top of rail)
Body lift compatible?
No.

Why don't we simply mount "around" my OEM Rubicon rails?
To mount around your Rubicon rails we'd have to eliminate our welded in studs along the sides of our rails. This would greatly lessen their mounting strength and ability to distribute load along the rail. We choose to replace your Rubicon rail completely so we can mount in more places along your Jeep's body.

Is any trimming required to the OEM fenders prior to Tubular Rocker Guard installation?
No. You do not have to trim your OEM fenders at all for clearance. Some other competing sliders require trimming up to 5/8" of an inch off your plastic fenders.

What finish is available?
RH4x4 Rocker Guards ship powder coated black with a semi-smooth, semi-gloss finish. Raw, paintable finish available upon request.

Where is this Rocker Guard set made?
This product, like all RH4x4 parts, was designed, developed, tested, manufactured, and if applicable, powder coated, and shipped in the USA. And we don't mean the 75% legal standard to be able to say Made in USA. We are 100% Made in the United States of America!
